Jeffrey Vernooy
Director of the Office of Disability Services
Wright State University

Jeffrey A. Vernooy is the Director of the Office of Disability Services at Wright State University. He joined the staff of Disability Services in 1977. Mr. Vernooy's areas of expertise are in career development, job placement architectural access and adaptive technology. Mr. Vernooy serves on a number of advisory boards, including The Gorman Hewitt Ayres Foundation, and he chairs the Disability Foundation, a fund under the Dayton Foundation. He has given numerous training programs on attitudinal awareness and sensitivity training on issues related to disability.  His "Windmills" seminars on employment of persons with disabilities have been well received by both private and public sector employers.  Mr. Vernooy is the 1994 recipient of the James W. Cisco award for contributions to equal employment, and the 1998 inductee into the Developmental Disabilities Hall of Fame in the category of service.


Dr. Ramzieh Azmeh

Doctor of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics
Miami Valley Hospital

Dr. Ramzieh Azmeh, born and raised in Damascus, Syria, is a doctor of internal medicine and pediatrics affiliated with Miami Valley Hospital. She came to the U.S. in 1985, and has lived in various places including Kansas, where Dr. Azmeh was president of the Board of Interfaith Ministries. In Dayton, she is involved with the National Conference for Community Justice (NCCJ) and the Greater Dayton Interfaith Trialogue. She speaks English, Arabic, and French. Dr. Azmeh was a 2003 recipient of The Kansas Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (KIPCOR) “Peacemaker Award.”



Dr. Cris Wildermuth
Wright State University

Dr. Cris Wildermuth is currently a professor at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Wildermuth's job at The Effectiveness Group involves two key parts of the puzzle: research and design.  As a researcher, she is in charge of ensuring that the content of the programs are sound and based on actual research findings.  As a designer, she mostly focuses on instructional details.  

Cris is the author of "Diversity Training," published by the  published by the American Society Training & Development (ASTD) and recently had articles published by the Journal of Commercial and Industrial Training and ASTD’s T & D magazine. She has a doctorate in Leadership Studies from Bowling Green State University and focused her dissertation on the relationships between personality and employee engagement.


Robin Throckmorton
Robin Throckmorton, MA, SPHR

Robin Throckmorton, MA, SPHR is the President and Executive HR Strategist with strategic HR, inc., a human resources management consulting firm located in Cincinnati, OH.  Strategic HR, inc. was a winner in 2008 and 2009 of the Regional Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce Small Business Excellence 10 under 10 Award.  Robin is also a co-founder of e-HResources.com, an online consulting firm. Robin has been a consultant for over 13 years with healthcare, manufacturing, service, and non-profit organizations creating solutions to help them recruit and retain the best and the brightest employees.

Robin is the co-author of Bridging the Generations Gap.  She is a frequent speaker for professional associations and conferences on the topics of generational differences, retention, recruitment strategies, and labor trends.  Robin has been an adjunct faculty member of the University of Cincinnati where she taught and spoke for various classes in the Masters program.  In addition, Robin has been an adjunct at Xavier University facilitating classes in the Senior HR Management Certificate Program.  She was also recognized as an Enterprising Women of the Year Finalist.

Robin holds a BS from Purdue University in Management and a Master of Arts in Labor and Employment Relations from the University of Cincinnati.  Robin is also certified as a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) by the national Human Resources Certification Institute.  She regularly volunteers for advisory and leadership roles to help serve the human resources profession.
